The fresh snow as well as the mostly small wind slabs are lying on the quite favourable surface of an old snowpack in all aspects above approximately 2000 m. The new snow can be released by a single winter sport participant in isolated cases. The fresh wind slabs are mostly shallow and can be released easily. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular in steep terrain at high altitude. These have formed adjacent to ridgelines on southeast, south and southwest facing slopes. Over a wide area 5 to 10 cm of snow, but less in some localities, will fall until the evening above approximately 2000 m. The wind will be light to moderate adjacent to ridgelines. The fresh snow as well as the wind slabs are lying on the favourable surface of an old snowpack. Gradual increase in danger of dry avalanches as a consequence of new snow and wind. At intermediate and high altitudes possibly danger level 2 (moderate) will be reached.
