Avalanches are rather small but can be released easily by a single winter sport participant. <br/> <br/> Individual gliding avalanches can also occur. <br/> <br/> Even a small avalanche can sweep winter sport participants along and give rise to falls. Apart from the danger of being buried, restraint should be exercised in view of the danger of avalanches sweeping people along and giving rise to falls. The new snow of the weekend has bonded quite well with the old snowpack. <br/> <br/> 15 to 20 cm of snow will fall in the next few hours above approximately 1000 m. The wind will be light over a wide area. In particular at high altitude snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind. Significant increase in danger of dry avalanches as the snowfall becomes more intense.
