Fresh wind slabs require caution. As a consequence of new snow and wind dry slab avalanches are possible, but they will be mostly small. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular on near-ridge shady slopes at high altitude. In some cases the wind slabs have bonded poorly with the old snowpack. The snowpack will be unstable from the southernmost and easternmost part of Aran via the northern half of Aran to the westernmost part of Aran. The avalanche conditions in the morning are wintry in the high Alpine regions. The backcountry touring conditions in the morning are critical. Gradual decrease in danger of dry avalanches as a consequence of warming during the day.
